12. One way of approaching this item is to create an equation to model the situation: 150 + 0.5 m = 140 + 0.75 m But you can also Test-the-Test. What is the situation at the end of two months (choice F)? Chelsea: 150 + 0.5(2) = 151 Travis: 140 + 0.75(2) = 141.5 The two would not be the same height, so (F) is wrong. What would be the situation at the end of 20 months, (G)? Chelsea: 150 + 0.5(20) = 160 Travis: 140 + 0.75(20) = 155 Again the two are not equal, so (G) is wrong. What would be the situation at the end of 40 months, (H)? Chelsea: 150 + 0.5(40) = 170 Travis: 140 + 0.75(40) = 170 Bingo. They will be the same height after about 40 months, (H).
