PLAN FOR FURTHER STUDY
ǦǤ ϐ Cambridge AccelePrep for the ACT ® Test program. Now what? In most cases you will have some spare time before the test day, so planning a study schedule between the post-test and the real test is critical to reinforcing and maintaining the skills, concepts, and strategies that you have learned throughout the course. Below are three steps that will help you make the most of your time. Most students understand the concepts tested, but many struggle with time management. If you have not yet done so, take the Practice Test on page 246. The test: • reinforces skills and strategies; • simulates the experience of the real test by using time restrictions to emphasize time management; and • is an excellent guide to targeting your study plan. Use the results of your post-test and practice test to determine a day- by-day schedule that will create a clear and dependable guide for study. Create this plan based on the amount of time you have before the test day. Several weeks before the test day: • Plan to review all material equally. • As the test date approaches, devote your time to any particular areas of weakness. Remember: picking a few subjects to focus on each week will help you manage your time between now and the test.
