Experiment 2 The students investigated the change in the volume of a gas at room temperature (294 K) at different pressures using the apparatus shown in Figure 3. A glass tube contained a pure nitrogen gas sample (a), and its volume (in mL) was read from the scale. A column of oil (c) transmitted pressure from the reservoir (b), and the pressure value was read on the gauge (d). Table 1 summarizes the data.
