The Cambridge Edge Remember the following points about marking the bubble sheet: • Completely darken the bubble for each answer choice. If the letter within the bubble can be read through the pencil mark, then it is not dark enough. Mechanical pencils, even with No. 2 pencil lead, often fail to leave a dark mark. • Stay within the lines. • When erasing pencil marks, be sure to erase the marks completely. Do not leave any stray marks. • Circle the answer choices in the test booklet. Towards the end of the section, or after each completed group of items, transfer the selected answers as a group to the answer form. Not only does this minimize erasing on the answer form, but it also saves time and minimizes transcription errors. • ǡ Ǧ ϐ Ǥ extra density tends to offset the residue left over from the original answer choice. Strategic test-taking: • ϐ Ǥ time, skip to items that you are more likely to answer correctly. • Make notes and calculations directly in the test booklet. • Underline key words in Reading passages.
